Saratoga Springs in the 1920s was a city that refused to go dry. While Prohibition gripped the rest of the nation, in Saratoga, the situation was quite different. Underground casinos thrived, scandals shook the racing world, and city officials conspired to keep the money rolling. It was a golden era built on risk, corruption, and the understanding that in Saratoga, the rules did not apply.
